Collection: Pet Water Fountains & Replacement Filters
A pet water fountain is only as good as the filter sitting in it. Activated carbon fills up after about three to four weeks — the flow drops, the water starts tasting flat, and the pet quietly goes back to the bowl. This page carries both halves, the fountains and the replacement filters that keep them working, so re-ordering does not mean hunting for a model number six months after you bought the machine.
Two filter sizes cover the range. The cat water fountain replacement filter 6-pack is cut for the 5 L stainless-steel cat water fountain; the other 6-pack is cut for the 2.64-gallon (10 L) fountains, fitting both the all-stainless dog model and the black plastic-body one. Both are 100% activated carbon with no chemical additives: the carbon traps hair, dust and grit mechanically and adsorbs the odour molecules that make standing water taste stale. Both are precision-cut, so nothing needs trimming to sit flat in the housing. Soak a new filter in clean water for one to two minutes before fitting it — that rinses off the loose carbon dust and stops the first bowl running grey. At a three-to-four-week change interval, a 6-pack is roughly six months of cover.
On the fountain side, the 5 L Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain is the starting point for cats: 304 stainless for both the housing and the bowl, enough capacity for one to three cats for a couple of days, and a motion sensor that starts the flow when a cat comes within about 2.6 ft across a 120° arc. It also runs a 30-minute timer mode and, plugged in, a 24-hour continuous mode. The pump sits at 20 dB or under on a 4,000 mAh internal battery rather than a mains cable, and a blue-to-red LED shows when the level is dropping. For dogs, the 2.64-gallon automatic water dispenser comes as an all-stainless-steel version and a black version with a plastic body over a 304 stainless bowl — same three flow modes, same cordless 4,000 mAh pump, under 25 dB, with a 1.4 in bowl depth suited to larger muzzles.
Whichever you run, the routine is the same: change the water every one to three days and rinse the bowl, strip the pump once a month to clear hair out of the impeller, and change the carbon filter every three to four weeks. Keep the level above the MIN line so the pump never runs dry — running dry is what kills these pumps, not age.
