New: The Fido Fave Adaptive Self-Cleaning Cat Brush

Today we are launching the Fido Fave Adaptive Self-Cleaning Cat Brush. It is the first product we designed from scratch, and it took us the better part of a year.

Where it came from

The project started in December 2023 with feedback on our earlier slicker brush. It sold well, but the reviews that stuck with us were the critical ones: the plastic felt cheap in the hand, the hair-release button did not always clear the pins cleanly, and loose fur worked its way inside the brush body where you could not get it out. Our supplier could not change the design, so we decided to build our own.

Every prototype went through the same test: the two cats at home, who walk away from any brush they do not like. Several versions did not pass. The one that did is the brush you see here.

What it does

• Adaptive-fit pins. The 210 round-tipped stainless steel needles float and adjust to your cat's body as you brush, so the stroke follows the contours instead of dragging across them. Most cats settle into it rather than pulling away.
• One-click hair release. A button pushes the collected fur off the pins in one motion. No picking hair out by hand between sessions.
• Built-in Wood's Lamp. In a darkened room, the UV light makes ringworm fungus fluoresce, which can help you notice early signs of a skin problem during a normal grooming session. It is a quick check, not a diagnosis. If you see something, ask your vet.
• Built for longer sessions. A weighted ABS handle with a soft grip, a 2,000 mAh battery that charges over USB-C, and roughly 1.5 hours of lamp use per charge.

Who it is for

Cats with short or long coats, especially the ones who have decided that grooming is something that happens to other cats. If your cat tolerates about thirty seconds of brushing before leaving, this is the brush we built for you.
