I bought this primarily because of the "low noise" claim for my skittish rescue cat. It delivers! The sound is more of a quiet hum than a loud buzz, which made the grooming process so much less stressful for both of us. The paw trimmer attachment is fantastic for delicate areas. It's not quite as powerful as a professional salon-grade corded model, hence 4 stars, but for home use on nervous animals, it's absolutely wonderful.

These clippers are a beast on my Golden Retriever's thick coat! The motor is powerful and doesn't get stuck like my old pair did. The fine-tuning knob is a game-changer for getting through the densest patches. I'm taking one star off because the battery life on the highest setting isn't as long as I'd hoped for a full groom on a large dog, but it's still a massive upgrade. Very quiet compared to others, my dog is definitely less anxious.
